Odds Boost: Eagles OR Giants to Draft DeVonta Smith (Boosted from -170 to -130)
The Giants are drafting at #11 and the Eagles are at #12. The Heisman winner Smith is widely considered the #3 WR prospect on the board due to his diminutive size (less than 170 pounds), and with Ja’Marr Chase expected to go to the Bengals at #5 and Jaylen Waddle projected to go to the Dolphins at #6, this seems like a safe bet that either the Giants or Eagles will snatch him up. Love these odds to pieces. The Pats re-signed Cam Newton in the offseason, but only to a one-year deal. He’s clearly not the long-term answer, and this is the perfect draft to pick up a project who can learn for a year under Newton before taking over the reins. Don’t be surprised if the Pats trade up to get their guy. Even if they stay put, Trey Lance or Justin Fields could fall to them at #15. Belichick knows that the Pats won’t be drafting this high again for some time (This is the first time they’ve drafted in the top 15 since 2008), and I’ll bet on him taking full advantage to get his QB of the future.
Odds Boost: P. Sewell, R. Slater, C. Darrisaw, A. Vera-Tucker, and L. Dickerson all to be drafted in Round 1 (Boosted from +110 to +150)
This is a solid bet at really great odds. These are the five undisputed top linemen in the draft and if there’s one thing teams can never have enough of, it’s strong lineman to build their offenses around. Bit of a wild card, but I’m taking this bet just because the odds are so good. The Bears don’t draft until #20, and by then, all the top 5 QBs should be off the table. However, Chicago is in desperate need of a QB (Andy Dalton is not the answer, sorry guys). And there are still plenty of decent QBs that are projecting as second-rounders like David Mills or Kyle Trask.
