Free College Basketball Picks Today For 2/14/2020

We have an interesting slate in the NCAAM world with a couple of free College Basketball Picks Today. No teams in the top-25 will be playing tonight, my guess is most of them will be on their couches watching the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities, many with hopes of being there next year. Regardless, there are college hoops to be played and bets to be made. Let’s look at a few picks for tonight.
St. Bonaventure Bonnies vs. Davidson Wildcats: St. Bonaventure -4
Let’s start with a battle in the A-10 conference. All eyes have been on Dayton in the A-10 this season, and rightfully so, but there are few other talented teams in there as well. St. Bonaventure is quietly putting together a solid season, currently sitting at third in the A-10 with an in-conference record of 9-3.
Tonight, they host the Davidson Wildcats, who have had an up and down season and currently sit at 6-5 in the A-10 this year. I’m going with the Bonnies in this one. They are coming in hot, winning, and most importantly, covering their last 5 games.
They are 15-8-1 against the spread overall this season, and 9-3 against the spread in conference games. If you’ve been betting on them this season, they’ve likely made you some money and I believe that will continue tonight.
The key to this one is that it’s a home game for the Bonnies. Here’s a stat that caught my eye – they let up a full 10 PPG fewer when playing on their home court vs. when they are on the road. That is a BIG difference. Another stat for you – Davidson scores a full 13 PPG fewer on the road than they do at home this season. That’s an even BIGGER difference.
You can definitely make a case for the under in this one as well, but as for my official pick, I am going with St. Bonaventure minus the points. I think they take care of business and make it six straight covers on their home court.
The Pick: St. Bonaventure -4
Princeton Tigers vs. Yale Bulldogs: Over 137
Next up in our free college basketball picks today, let’s take a trip to everyone’s favorite conference – THE IVY LEAGUE!!
I’ve been on an under kick all week and while the unders have been putting money in the account, it’s Friday, and I’m ready to get weird with an over.
Yale has been hitting overs like it’s their jobs, going over in their last six. They haven’t been particularly close either. In those six games, the over has hit by an average of 16.9 PPG. That alone gives me the confidence to ride the wave and follow the Bulldogs.
Princeton on the other hand, while they did go over in their last game, had gone under in their last six before that. I believe some of that is smoke and mirrors though, with the two most recent games of that streak going under by just 0.5 and 2.5 points.
This pick will be largely dependent on whether Yale can hit the three-ball. When they shoot well, they can shoot with most teams in the country. They are tied for 25th in the nation in three-pointers made per game. Three’s are an over bettors’ best friend, and Yale should be firing from downtown tonight.
If Yale can take advantage of Princeton’s horrendous defense, I expect this game to be very high-scoring. Princeton is ranked 243rd in the country in PPG allowed to opponents this season. Yikes. The best-case scenario here is for Yale to get out to a big early lead and hope that Princeton must push the flow to stay in it and keep it close.
