Zach’s Season Record: 92-75

Steph Curry helped me win Monday and get to 90 Ws this season like he was anabolic steroids and I was Bob Baffert’s racehorse. Except for what Curry does nightly is actually LEGAL – although some NBA coaches probably don’t see it that way. (Sorry Monty Williams and Phoenix last night…) Whatever the case, today I’m setting out to make your bank accounts soar higher than current gas prices in America. ($5.99 in LA!) Tonight’s games may depend on injuries and back-to-backs. But as the season drags on, I’m watching some teams stumble, and defensive breakdowns seem to be more frequent than a Tristan Thompson sidepiece lawsuit. Meanwhile, LeBron finally comes back on the floor today against the Rockets. Can he bounce back to be the King we all worship and love? In my opinion, J. Cole has a better chance at being MVP of that Rwandan team than the Lakers have of repeating this season… But to quote the great J. Cole: Either you play the game or you let the game play you. Let’s see who is down to play the game tonight…Portland Trail Blazers @ Utah Jazz: Utah -2 (-105)
Point Total: Over 233.5 (-115)
Following the aforementioned Steph Curry hurt that the Jazz were issued Monday, can they can bounce back faster than J. Lo to Affleck following her split from A-Rod? BTW – J. Lo? A. Rod? Can I can start calling Ben Affleck "B. Aff"? With Rudy Gobert (R. Gob) and Ben Simmons (B. Sim) neck and neck for DPOY, I think we start to see Rudy holding his own in the paint tonight – BUT Dame and CJ are always capable of knocking down 20 threes in a night. I think the Blazers may lose, take Portland to stay in this game… and lose by 3. Points-wise, 233.5 is doable for this matchup between the Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz. This game could go to OT as Dame seems to pull out all the stops at this point in the season. He gets stronger as the year goes on, and I know he still has dreams of proving himself the way Miami did last year… In fact, he’s a walking J. Cole lyric himself. Anything's possible, you gotta dream like you never seen obstacles. Take the OVER.
Houston Rockets @ Los Angeles Lakers: Houston +13.5 (-115)
Point Total: Under 224 (-105)
LeBron is SUPPOSED to play, and with AD back to his old self, we will either see the beginning of a strong Lakers resurgence or a weak and disappointing return. But, you never know – if you’ve ever seen the film Jiro Dreams of Sushi – you know that some strive for perfection. LeBron is one of those guys and could step into a 25-point welcome back game. As Mel Brooks said, “It’s good to be the king.” Well, it is when your ankle is in good shape. But following that Knicks win last night – I think the Lakers might have trouble winning by 14 - TAKE HOUSTON (!!!) In that Knicks game, nobody hit 100. I’m going with the UNDER here… unless Kevin Porter Jr. decides to have one of his 50-point games (notice how much we’ve read about him lately?) LeBron will play limited minutes, and we all saw what Kuzma and Drummond did when the two stars weren’t running the offense… So, this may be closer than Lakers fans want to see, but at least they’ll see the return of LeBron… And in the word of J. Cole: Never give up until you’ve given out all your very best. It’s better to fail trying than wondering what could have happened if you tried.
