Mike’s Season Record: 9-3

Last week hurt. Taking the over on 274.5 passing yards from Kyler Murray looked like an easy win once he entered the fourth quarter with 268 yards. Amazingly, he didn’t record a single passing yard for the rest of the game, leaving me 1-2 for the week with my player prop picks. With my season record for player props sitting at 9-3, I’ll look to bounce back with the following three wagers to consider for Week 5. All odds were obtained from BetMGM.

Top Week 5 NFL Player Props For 10/10/2021

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Green Bay Packers: Joe Burrow Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-155)

Burrow hasn’t exactly lit things up in the yardage department, topping 300 passing yards in a game only one time so far. However, he has thrown at least two touchdown passes in all four games. The Bengals could throw the ball a lot in this game with running back Joe Mixon (ankle) likely out. Also, they might have to in order to keep up with Aaron Rodgers. Further working in Burrow’s favor is that the Packers’ cornerback Jaire Alexander (shoulder) is unlikely to play. While the odds aren’t great on this wager, it could still prove to be profitable. San Francisco 49ers @ Arizona Cardinals: Deebo Samuel Over 62.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

While he hasn’t been officially ruled out as of Friday morning, it looks like Jimmy Garoppolo (calf) is trending in the wrong direction for this game. That could mean that is a start is coming for Trey Lance, who threw for 157 yards and two touchdowns in relief of Garoppolo last week. Samuel had a big game in that contest, posting eight receptions for 156 yards and two touchdowns. He has received at least eight targets in all four games this season, which has helped him record at least 93 receiving yards three times. Add in the 49ers possibly needing to throw the ball a lot to keep up with Murray, and Samuel could blow past the over here.

Miami Dolphins @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Mike Gesicki Over 3.5 Receptions (-165)

There are a few factors working in Gesicki’s favor here. First, the Dolphins will be thin at wide receiver with Will Fuller (finger) now on IR. Even with him available the last two games, Gesicki logged ten and five receptions, respectively. Second, the Bucs have one of the best run defenses in the league and a potent offense, which leaves the opposition in a position where they usually have to throw against them often. Expect Gesicki to be busy in this matchup. PointsBet - Deposit Bonus Up to $250
